• Compulsory Expressway Familiarisation Ride (EFR) course for Class 2B trainees

  With effect from 1 June 2013 (Saturday), Class 2B learner riders who pass their practical riding test MUST attend a compulsory Expressway Familiarisation Ride (EFR) course before they can apply for their qualified Class 2B licence.
  Fees: Off Peak: $ 36.38; Peak: $38.52

• Adjustment in Motorcar training fee and Vehicle Rental Fees

  Due to high operating costs, we will be adjusting the Motorcar training fee and Test vehicle rental fees.
  

  * 1st June 2013 - Class 3/3A training fee (without GST) will be adjusted from :-
  

  • Off peak - $67 to $69 per session.
  • Peak - $75 to $77 per session.

  * 1st June 2013 - Test vehicle rental fee (without GST) for the following classes will be adjusted from :-
  

  • Class 2B - $20 to $25 per test
  • Class 2A - $25 to $35 per test
  • Class 2 - $30 to $45 per test
  • Class 3/3A - $120 to $140 per test

• All Class 2B Students -Changes to Lesson 7 contents

  Please be informed that with effect from 3 October 2011 (Mon), the Lesson 7 contents will be changed to one-to-one defensive riding on the public road.
  
  Lesson 7 will include circuit training and assessment , on road defensive practical riding and assessment.
  
  Class 2B learners are advised to attend Circuit Revision practical lesson in order to be more confident for Lesson 7 practical assessment.
  
  The fee for Lesson 7 will be revised as follows:

  1. Off Peak timings (2 hours) $54.57 per lesson
  2. Peak timings (2 hours) $56.71 per lesson

• Two-Tiered Therory Test BTT And RTT for Class 2B learner riders

  1. With effect from 27 February 2012 ( Monday ), Class 2B learner riders will be subjected to a two-tiered theory test which requires them to pass, in order of sequences :
     • a Basic Theory Test ( BTT ) and
     • a Riding Theory Test ( RTT )
     
     before they can apply for their practical riding test.
  2. Class 2B learner riders applying for the Class 2B Provisional Driving Licence(PDL) under the two-tired theory test will be required to have a valid pass record for BTT or be exempted from taking the BTT.
  
  
  
  3. Class 2B learner riders will be exempted from having to take the BTT under the new two-tiered theory test structure if they fulfill one of the following requirements:
     • Have a vaild qualified Class 3, 3A, 4, 4A or 5 Singapore Driving Licence, or
     • Have a vaild pass record for their BTT.
  4. In addition, Class 2B learner riders who have a vaild pass record for their RTT taken before 27 February 2012 will also be exempted from having to take the BTT. If you do not pass your Class 2B practical test within the 12 months validity of your RTT result taken before 27 February 2012, you will be subjected to the two-tiered theory test structure for Class 2B and may be required to take BTT depending on your exemption eligibilities.

  6. If you need any further clarifications, you may also check with the Training Department of the driving center where you intend to enroll or have enrolled for your Class 2B course.

• Booking for Basic and Final Theory Test

  To: All SSDC Motor Car Students
  

  1. From 12 September 2011, all new and old motorcar students are allowed to book their BTT / FTT immediately after enrolment if you have not pass your basic / final theory test.
  2. The waiting time to take you BTT / FTT is about 2 months after booking.
  3. The passing marks for BTT / FTT is 45 and above, out of 50 questions.
  4. Upon passing your BTT, you can book for your FTT immediately.
  5. SSDC students are advised to book and attend "FREE" Theory Trial Test (TTT) before taking the basic / final theory test. You can attend unlimited TTT sessions but you can hold only 4 valid bookings at any one time. You may proceed to book another TTT session if you have less than 4 valid bookings.
  6. You need to be familiar with the Basic / Final theory test questions in order to pass on the first attempt. Failure is not a good option unless you can wait another 2 months for the next test.
  7. Fee of $5.35 paid per TTT session will be refunded to your student account for each attended session. No refund for unattended session.
  8. Booking for TTT sessions can be done at our Counter / Internet / Self- service kiosk.
  9. Cancellation and refund of TTT session is allowed if it is more than 24 hours in advance. No refund if you are absent for any personal reasons.

• Enrol online and book for Traffic Police Basic Theory Test.

  Private student (including foreigners applying for conversion of driving licence) can enrol online and book for Traffic Police Basic Theory Test. If you are doing self-study for your Basic Theory Test, you are advised to book for SSDC Theory Trial Test ($8.56). Samples of traffic police theory test questions are available for your practice. After you have passed your theory test, you can join us for your driving course.

• Enrol online for Class 2B, Class 2A and Class 2

  To enrol online, move the cursor to the New Enrolment and select the course. Upon enrolment, you can login and book for your practical lesson online. We accept Visa and Mastercard payment. Please collect your enrolment documents at our information counter during our operating hours.

• Application and Renewal of PDL

  Application for PDL

  Application of PDL for Class 2B can only be done at Traffic Police Department at their respective driving centre, whereas for Class 3 can be done at Traffic Police Department at any of the driving test centres during their operating hours. The fee is $25.00. Students are reminded to update their PDL expiry date at our information counter upon application.

  Renewal of PDL

  Class 2B - Student to renew their Class 2B PDL at their respective driving centre with the Traffic Police Department during their operating hours. The renewal fee is $25.00. Upon renewal , please update your renewed PDL expiry date at our information centre.

  Class 3 - Renewal can only be done at any of SingPost branches during their operating hours. The renewal fee is $25.00. For updating of renewed PDL expiry date, student can email or fax a copy of the renewed PDL for our updating. You need a valid PDL in order to book for your Traffic Police practical test.

  The following Post Offices are opened on Sunday and Public Holidays for renewal of Class 3 PDL:

  • Singapore Post Centre & Killiney Road Post Office
    Monday to Friday from 8.30 am to 9.00 pm
    Saturday from 8.30 am to 4.00 pm
    Sunday and Public Holidays from 10.00 am to 4.00 pm
    
  • Changi Airport - Terminal 2 Departure Hall
    Daily from 8.00 am to 9.30 pm
    

• Ang Mo Kio Training Branch Timeslot

  • Motorcar (Manual) Practical Lesson Bookings for 1 November 2010 onwards are now available on the Internet, Kiosks and Counters for ANG MO KIO Training Branch.
  • Under this booking, you have to report and end your practical lesson at Ang Mo Kio Training Branch @ Blk 635, Ang Mo Kio Street 61 (Opposite Yio Chu Kang MRT Station).

  INTERNET BOOKING

  • In order to see the timeslots for the branch office, you need to change the location from WOODLANDS to ANG MO KIO before you click "check for availability" button.
  • Upon payment, the receipt would show the location reporting point as ANG MO KIO TRAINING BRANCH. You may login to our website at www.ssdcl.com.sg to view your booking and location.

  KIOSK BOOKING

  • In order to see the timeslots for the branch office, you need to change the location from WOODLANDS to ANG MO KIO (yellow wordings) before you select your booking date.
  • Upon payment, the receipt would show the location reporting point as ANG MO KIO TRAINING BRANCH. You may login to our website at www.ssdcl.com.sg to view your booking and location.

  COUNTER BOOKING

  • You need to inform the counter service staff your intention to book the timeslots for the ANG MO KIO branch office otherwise the booking by default would be under WOODLANDS.
  • Upon payment, the receipt would show the location reporting point as ANG MO KIO TRAINING BRANCH. You may login to our website at www.ssdcl.com.sg to view your booking and location.
