Hi, I was a SSDC student; I obtained my class 3 driving license recently. I would like to express my gratitude to Mr. Koh Han Keong (5957). He is a very encouraging and supportive instructor. Even though I made a lot of mistakes during my practical lessons, but he will never get frustrated. When I failed my first practical test in September, I felt very upset and I do not have confident to drive. Before I took my second practical test, I booked Mr. Koh for several lessons (whom I think is more comfortable to talk with) to discuss the mistakes that I have done during my first test. I am very grateful for his extremely patient guidance. I will always bear his advice in my mind, thank you very much, Mr. Koh. :)

First and foremost, I'd like to give my appreciation to a dedicated organization that have helped many, myself included, achieve a driving license and equipping us with the necessary skills on the road. I would also like to congratulate your organization on having an excellent driving instructor, Mr. Mohamed Fami Bin Samat!

During the course of my lessons in SSDC, Fami has displayed excellent professionalism, competency in his teaching abilities, patience and most of all, a strong passion to help his students pass their license on their first attempt! When I initially started out driving, I was unsure of the technical handling of the vehicle, but Fami's competency in imparting the proper driving technique made me grasp the knowledge and skill in no time.

During hours of lessons with Fami, he relentless reminds me of my flaws each time. No matter how simple a mistake was, Fami was always kind enough to enlighten me on ways and tips to do it better. Finally as the big day draws nearer, like all others, I felt nervous and inadequate for the TP test. However, Fami's encouragement has spurred me. His continuous assessment of my performance gave me the confidence on the big date itself.

And eventually, I passed the Traffic Police Test on my first attempt! Kudos to Mr. Fami! Keep up the good work!!

Well Done SSDC!

I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to the staff of SSDC for helping me pass my TP Practical Test, 1st attempt, on 2 Nov 2009. My special thanks go to the following instructors:

Mr. Jack Tham K Y (5643): He was my instructor for my first lesson and many subsequent ones. His friendly and jovial personality really puts me at ease for a person first time behind the wheel. He is also a very patient instructor who is also sharp in recognizing my mistakes and helping me correct them. Thank you Mr. Tham! You really helped me overcome a lot of mental obstacles during the lessons!

Mr. Chua T G (5119): Thank you Mr. Chua for being such a patient instructor. Without him patiently bearing with and correcting my mistakes, I would have lost a lot of confidence during my subsequent lessons.

Mr. Wee K H (5924): Although he only took me for 3 lessons, I really enjoyed learning under him as his demanding expectations and encouraging words really motivated me to do my best every time.

Mr. Tang G T (5196): Mr. Tang shared a lot of valuable driving techniques that helped me refine my skills. Thank you for helping me overcomes The fear of lane changing during heavy traffic.

Mr. Zulkifli (5296): He was really patient with me and helped me greatly in sharpening my driving skills. Thanks also for sharing with me how I should react in different traffic situations and patiently answering all my questions. And many thanks to all my other instructors: Mr. Md Firdaus (5934),

Mr. Junaid (5974), Mr. Ramli (5688), Mr. Julian (5803) and my ATV instructor. Ong K L (5949). My gratitude also to Mr. Ivan Tan (5805) as my warm-up instructor - always encouraging and assuring! - And my TP tester Mr. Quak for passing me.

I would like to compliment the following instructors for I think they are very committed and dedicated to their job. I find them very encouraging as well. I failed my first attempt and passed on the second attempt so I felt miserable after failing the first one. However, your instructors were very encouraging.Your counter staffs are also very professional. Following are the instructors that deserve some kudos: -

Nelson Teo - ID 5681

Kang H L - ID 5895

Ong S L - ID 5586

These are the most outstanding and encouraging instructors anyone could ever find. Having them in SSDC is a great asset. Please send my regards to them and I'm most grateful to them. (I know they have many students so I'm not sure if they would remember me. Just tell them I'm the one who works for Singapore Airlines. If they still can't remember, it’s ok)
